The aesthetic intention of the musician who commissioned this double bass from me was to carve a tree at the upper back.

The earth as a living and vibrating organism is expressed in this double bass.

The tailpiece axis resembles the first animals to walk on earth. Birds' heads adorn the " f "s" holes.

The volute is carved in the manner of a fossilized nautilus shell.

The back of the peg box is a reminder of the danger to all land-living the earth such as the koala in flames (ref.: Australia fires). A large spruce tree stands in the center of which the sides of the peg turn into a tree forming interlacing. The pegs are shaped like eucalyptus fruit.

The landscape at the top of the bottom represents a tree/plant whose inside branches form hearts-shape.

A distant lake and mountains all confined within the decorative purfling and ends with a C (covid-19) above the landscape to remind us to order.
